Actively engaged employee ...

Every organization wishes to have a workplace which is engaging. However, in reality, companies face a demographic mix of highly engaged employees, partially engaged employee and disengaged employees. According to Gallup, only 13% employees are meaningfully engaged at workplace. They are psychologically committed to their jobs and likely to be contributing positively to the organization. This can differ from organization to organization and industry sector/country. Considering the above fact, every organization aims to retain/motivate the actively engaged workforce

Below are the few steps need be taken by the organization in order to keep the employee at actively engaged work place.

  • Appreciate and recognize employee contribution on a timely manner.
  • Proactively discuss employees aspirations and career plan
  • Assign challenging assignments
  • Make it ensure compensation offer to the employee is as per industry.
  • Support the employee during family distress
  • Reward the employee on milestones
  • Continuous feedback on performance rather than wait for appraisal cycle.

Failing to implement these measures will, no doubt, move an employee to the partially disengaged quadrant and eventually to attrition. Well engaged staff are your ambassadors who work as influencers within organization.

Managers and HR professionals have a greater stake in engaging employees. It’s the balance and partnership between the business and HR that can create “the most happening workplace”! Great workplaces make great companies

  2. Yes good thoughts. but i would like to know what kind of benefits will make an employee to retain in the organization?
As per my feel monetary aspects is not only a tool to retain staffs.

as per your statement u have highlighted many aspects. which was towards the truth.
but here i what exactly want is hierarchy in the statment. like which stament plays a vital role and 2-3-4-5

    Example out of 100%

Appreciate and recognize employee contribution on a timely manner. 25%
Proactively discuss employees aspirations and career plan 20%
    Assign challenging assignments 5%
Make it ensure compensation offer to the employee is as per industry.5%
Support the employee during family distress 30%
Reward the employee on milestones 5%

    Like wise.,

    wish you good luck nithin
